Our Review
I recently had the opportunity to review the SBI Card PULSE credit card and I must say, it offers some great benefits for avid shoppers.
With a joining fee of Rs. 1,499 + GST and a renewal fee of Rs. 1,499 + GST, this card is reasonably priced.
One of the standout features of this card is the reward type, which is Reward Points.
This means that every time you make a purchase, you earn points that can be redeemed for various rewards.
As a shopping-focused card, it offers 10 Reward Points per Rs. 100 spent on movie and dining, as well as pharmacy and chemist purchases.
For all other purchases, you receive 2 Reward Points per Rs. 100 spent.
When you sign up for the SBI Card PULSE, you also receive a welcome benefit of a Noise ColorFit Pulse Smart Watch worth Rs. 5,999.
Additionally, you get complimentary Fitpass Pro membership and a Netmeds First membership, further enhancing your shopping experience.
For travelers, this card offers some great perks.
You get complimentary access to domestic lounges, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing travel experience.
Moreover, you also receive 2 complimentary domestic lounge visits per quarter.
Unfortunately, there are no international lounge or golf benefits with this card.
In terms of insurance benefits, the SBI Card PULSE provides an air accident cover of Rs. 50 lakhs and a zero liability cover of Rs. 1 lakh.
It also offers various travel insurance covers, including lost baggage, delayed baggage, and loss of travel documents, among others.
If you are concerned about the renewal fee, worry not.
It can be waived if you spend Rs. 2 lakhs or more in the previous year, making it easier on your pocket.
One thing to note is that there is a rewards redemption fee of Rs. 100 on each redemption request.
Additionally, the card charges a foreign currency markup of 3.5% of the transaction amount, which is something to consider if you often make international purchases.
The interest rate on this card is 3.50% per month (42% per annum), so it's important to manage your payments responsibly to avoid accruing high interest charges.
When it comes to fuel transactions, the SBI Card PULSE offers a 1% fuel surcharge waiver on all transactions between Rs. 500 and Rs. 4,000, helping you save some extra money.
Lastly, if you find yourself in need of cash, the card allows cash advances of 2.5% of the cash amount, subject to a minimum of Rs. 500.
In conclusion, the SBI Card PULSE is a great credit card for shoppers who want to earn rewards on their purchases.
With its attractive benefits, including a welcome smartwatch, complimentary memberships, and access to domestic lounges, this card offers value for money.
However, make sure to consider the fees and interest charges associated with this card before applying.
