Our Review
The SBI Shaurya Credit Card comes with a joining fee of Rs. 250 + GST and a renewal fee of Rs. 250 + GST.
It is an ideal card for shopping enthusiasts, offering Reward Points as the reward type.
Upon joining, you will receive a welcome benefit of 1,000 bonus Reward Points.
Unfortunately, the card does not provide any benefits for movie dining.
However, you can earn 1 Reward Point for every spend of Rs. 100 and 5x Reward Points on groceries, dining, CSD, movies, departmental stores, and more.
While the card does not offer any benefits specifically for travel, domestic lounge access, international lounge access, or golf, it does provide a personal accident insurance cover worth Rs. 2 lakhs.
This can be beneficial in unforeseen events.
The renewal fee can be waived off if you spend Rs. 50,000 or more in the previous year, which is a great incentive to keep using the card.
However, there is a rewards redemption fee of Rs. 99 on each redemption request, which should be taken into consideration.
For foreign currency spends, the card charges a markup fee of 3.5%.
This is applicable to all transactions made in foreign currency.
The interest rate on the card is 2.75% per month (33% annually).
When it comes to fuel transactions, the card offers a 1% fuel surcharge waiver on all transactions between Rs. 500 and Rs. 3,000.
This can help you save some money when filling up your vehicle.
If you need to make a cash advance, the SBI Shaurya Credit Card charges 2.5% of the withdrawn amount or Rs. 500, whichever is higher.
In summary, the SBI Shaurya Credit Card is a suitable option for avid shoppers who want to earn reward points on their purchases.
It also provides a personal accident insurance cover and offers certain benefits for fuel transactions.
However, it may not be the best choice for frequent travelers or individuals looking for extensive benefits in other categories.
